Meet Kevin Alderton, a man whose steely determination has turned a tragic incident which left him blind into a personal triumph by setting a world ski speed record. Ex-Service man Kevin, who skied competitively at both Regimental and Divisional levels, pushed himself to the limit when he reaches speeds in excess of 100mph down the 'Flying Kilometre' in Les Arcs, France. He narrowly averted disaster as he tumbled just after crossing the end speed gate, but set the world record at a staggering 100.94 mph (162.45 Kmph).
