  • Recession-hit Britons are getting their own back on banks by playing one of the country's newest amusement arcade games. It is proving so popular that the mallets used to clobber them are wearing out fast. Based on traditional games like "Whack a Rat", inventor Tim Hunkin introduced "Whack a Banker" at his arcade on Southwold pier. Since the near collapse of the financial markets and bail out of several banks, many were angered by the tax payers' funds being used to prop up the financial sector and seem to have embraced the chance to vent their anger through the game.
