Crash Sweat and Gears

Crash, Sweat and Gears takes you on an hour long ride through a compilation of crashes from the world of Grasstrack and Speedway. Set to music, you'll never be more than a few seconds away from a crunch, crash or collision. There are some heart-pounding wipe-outs too, as riders bale out in mid-air hoping for a landing which doesn't damage the bike. Amazingly none of the crashes depicted on this collection proved to be really serious or fatal.

  • Crash Sweat & Gears

Imagine yourself speeding around an oval dirt track doing over 80 miles per hour. Suddenly the roar of an engine overwhelms you and the next thing you know is someone has smashed into you and you are fighting for control of your machine and even maybe your life! Grasstrack Racing is the fastest form of off road motorcycle sport in the world, but even the professionals don't always get it right and when it goes wrong it does so in spectacular fashion. Engine sizes range from the single cylinder solo 250cc to the powerful 1000cc 3 wheeled sidecar machines. But despite being the 'ER' of Motorcycle Racing, most riders walk away unhurt, but not all are so lucky.

Speedway riders race around small oval cinder tracks with four riders in every race, all riding 500cc machines. It maybe all over in 60 seconds, but the stench of gasoline and burning rubber must make some racers see the "Red mist" as they wipe-out in the first corner. Another key factor driving Speedways popularity is the potential for entertaining mayhem, even disaster. Though serious accidents are rare, they're obviously more of an issue here than in other sports but there are some racers who collect grudges like old parts.
