A Jumbo task for a Londoner to achieve success!

Every once in a while, seemingly ordinary people make extraordinary life changing decisions and commitments. Katherine Conner is one such individual. From an unlikely encounter with a baby elephant whilst travelling she has dedicated the last 4 years of her life to fulfil her dream of setting up an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. What’s most remarkable is that Katherine is in her twenties, came from a retail environment and had no previous experience with either Elephants or the Thai culture which is intertwined with her plans to set up a sanctuary there. Her story has been a rollercoaster of setbacks and success; from the heartbreak of losing her beloved baby elephant to being nominated for a prestigious animal welfare award, but she is finally poised to make her dream a reality - with your help!

Katherine is still in the processing of raising £150,000 so that she can continue to help the elephants of Thailand. Her plan is to develop her elephant sanctuary, which will be a revolution in conservation and will focus on the survival of the Asian elephant.

The sanctuary is called Boon Lott's Elephant Sanctuary (BLES) and is opened in the little baby elephant's honour.
